C16 - C24 Timber Carcassing

To help build and construct stud walls and frames for interior walls and buildings, C24/C16 is the ideal choice. Produced from a larch/spruce mix, C24/C16 is a superior building material also known as structural carcassing timber where it is used to build the frames of walls but not seen once completed. Of course, both the C24 and C16 has been treated using a green tanalith pressure treatment and this will ensure a long life and resistance to rot. In sizes of 4”x2”, 3”x2” and 2”x2”, our planed C24/16 timber range provides you with several different options and fits several different spaces, requirements, and purposes.

To give you some ideas of where you may use this timber, its perfect for roof battens, timber framing, ceiling joists, floor joists and decking joists where stability and strength is of the utmost importance. The C16 option is a more cost-effective timber that’s properties meet most structural performances and commonly used for internal jobs such as roof and floor joists. C24 is a material that is extremely high in quality and grown very slowly meaning more growth rings. The idea is to have as many growth rings as possible and tightly packed together, making the timber durable and better in quality. Therefore, C24 can handle extreme pressures and high loads making it an adaptable and versatile timber.
