Grown in Britain and machined in-house at our Devon workshop, it combines a smooth-planed finish with a neatly interlocking profile. Ideal for exterior walls, garden rooms, porches, extensions and outbuildings, it complements contemporary and traditional designs.

The tongue and groove profile allows adjoining boards to fit neatly together, creating a consistent surface that showcases Cedar’s natural grain, knots and colour variations.

Suitable for both secret fixing and face fixing, the profile gives you flexibility over installation and appearance. Conceal fixings within the joint for a clean finish, or secure boards through the face where preferred, using suitable stainless steel fixings.

Install vertically or horizontally to suit your project. Vertical boards draw the eye upwards, while horizontal boards emphasise width. Cedar’s warm tones work beautifully alongside stone, brick, render, glass and metal.

Machined from Dried Timber

Drying before machining also helps produce a cleaner surface and accurately shaped tongue and groove joints, supporting a neat fit and consistent finish.

Our Cedar is grown in Britain and machined in Devon, supporting local forestry and British manufacturing.

Keeping sourcing and production closer to home helps limit transport distances and associated transport emissions compared with timber shipped over long distances. In-house machining also gives us control over the finished profile and the flexibility to accommodate bespoke requirements.

Natural Weathering or Osmo Protection

Left untreated, British Cedar gradually develops a silver-grey patina, creating a softly weathered finish. The rate and consistency of weathering will depend on exposure, shelter and orientation.

If you prefer to retain the original warm tones, choose a suitable Osmo exterior UV protection oil recommended for Cedar. A compatible finish can enhance the grain and help slow greying. Follow the manufacturer’s preparation, application and maintenance instructions for your chosen product.
