Are you mounting hinges on the rear of the posts?
With this fitting, the gates will open towards the driveway, and the hinge plates will be mounted to the rear face of the post. The back edge of the gate sits flush with the back edge of the post.
- Reduce 40mm from your lowest measurement.
Are you mounting your hinges between the posts?
If your gate width is under 10ft (3m), then you also have this option. The hinge plates will be mounted to the inside face of the post and the gate will open towards the driveway. The front edge of the gate sits flush with the front edge of the post.

Are you mounting your hinges on the front of the posts?
If you mount the hinges to the outside front face of the post, the gates will open out towards the roadside. The front edge of the gate will sit flush with the front edge of the post. This is an ideal set up if you have limited driveway space.
