Timber Cladding Fixings & Screws

At Ruby, when you buy your cladding from us, we want you to have everything you need so that the job can be completed making it simple and stress free. Therefore, we have high quality cladding fixings which will secure the boards in place for many years to come. The fixings are made from Stainless steel and as a result, superiorly corrosive resistant. We have two different kinds of fixings available which include 50mm nails and Tongue-Tite® Plus Screws. Both are used for similar purposes but have slightly different characteristics in terms of properties that they possess. At the end of the day, both are great options.

Tongue-Tite® Plus Screws are recommended by the Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA) which is a non-profit advisory body that provides expert advice and guidance on how to install and specify timber decking and cladding. They are of the highest quality with many small features that are there for a purpose. Its unique thread form utilises a twin and single thread on the same screw allowing a permanent fix and gives a high pull retention and allow little to no movement. The star recess provides greater traction and grip when applying screws and fixings boards into place and the thin countersunk head sits flush on the surface of the board. These features make the screws one of the highest qualities and effective cladding fixings available.

Our Stainless Steel 50mm Ring shank Nails conform to Eurocode 5 in the European standards related to construction and service class 3. These are highly effective ring shank nails with annular rings to stop pull retention whilst providing holding power to keep the cladding in place. The threads will move and separate the wood fibres before moving back into the rings and stopping pulling and movement.  Available in three different sizes of 30 x 2.36, 40 x 2.65, and 50 x 3.35 ensuring that we have sizes available for every material and thickness.
