What is Shiplap cladding?

Shiplap cladding is a classic type of wood paneling characterised by its sleek surface and overlapping or interlocking edges that form a water-resistant exterior. The distinctive feature of shiplap cladding profiles is a broad 'scoop' along the top edge of each board, which sets it apart from other styles.

How long does Cedar cladding last?

If properly maintained, Cedar cladding can last 15-30 years!

Do I need to treat my Cedar cladding?

We highly recommend treating your cladding regularly with UV protection.

If untreated for a long period of time, the Cedar can lose its natural colouring and turn a silver colour, as well as being more susceptible to weather related issues such as shakes and warping. We recommend treating your cladding Osmo Oil at least every 12 months to prevent this.

Can your Cedar Shiplap 145mm x 19mm be used internally and externally?

Whilst you could use our Cedar Shiplap Cladding internally, we would recommend only using this cladding externally.
