How Do I Work Out How Much Cladding I Need?
Before ordering your cladding, it's essential to calculate the amount you need for your project. Here's a simple guide we used to help Lauren calculate how much she needed:
- Measure the area: Measure the height and width of the surface area you plan to cover.
- Account for wastage: Add 10% extra to your total to account for cutting and installation wastage.
- Choose the right profile: The width and coverage of the cladding (e.g., 145mm/95mm) will help determine how many boards you need.
If you're unsure, feel free to contact our team for assistance, or use our online Cladding Calculator.
During: Installation
Installing cladding may seem daunting, but it’s easier than you think with the right tools and a bit of guidance.
- Step 1: Prepare your surface by ensuring it's flat, clean, and dry.
- Step 2: Fix battens to the wall, ensuring they are evenly spaced for proper support.
- Step 3: Start installing cladding boards from the bottom up, leaving a gap between each board for natural expansion.
