Being such a dense wood, the larch doesn't need treatment but can be stained to keep it's naturally red/pink colour. Home-grown larch is much faster grown and has regular beautiful small & large knots sometimes up to 50mm and when machined can sometimes be slightly fluffy especially around knots.
