An apex shed is a type of garden shed characterised by its distinctive roof design, which features two sloping sides that meet in the middle at a ridge, forming an inverted "V" or triangle shape. This peaked roof design resembles that of a traditional house and is one of the most common and recognizable styles for garden sheds.
An apex shed and a pent shed differ mainly in their roof designs, affecting both appearance and functionality. An apex shed has a peaked roof with two sloping sides meeting in the middle, creating a triangular shape. This design provides more headroom in the center, making it suitable for storing taller items and offering a traditional, classic look often seen in rustic gardens. Apex sheds are typically freestanding and can be placed anywhere in the garden. In contrast, a pent shed features a single-sloping roof that angles in one direction. The highest point is along one side, offering easier access and a modern, streamlined appearance. Pent sheds are ideal for placement against a wall or fence, maximizing space in smaller gardens while efficiently directing rainwater away. The choice between the two often comes down to aesthetic preference, available space, and specific storage needs, with apex sheds offering more traditional appeal and pent sheds providing modern, space-saving solutions.
We use Heavy Duty Joinery Grade 121mm x 12mm Treated Shiplap T&G.
Yes! We can create a completely bespoke Shed that's customised to your needs - whether that's how space is inside, the materials used, or the size.
If maintained properly, our Sheds can last for up to 25 years!
We do! Please contact our friendly Sales team for a quote on 01409 231 763 or sales@ruby-group.co.uk for a quote on installation!
If you're looking to construct the Shed yourself or with your own fitters, we provide detailed instructions for the assembly of the stables.
We highly recommend treating your Shed at least every 6 months with Osmo Oil, to protect your Shed against the elements and against decay, as well as discolouration. We also recommend checking your Shed every so often and removing any built-up dirt and grime.
You can! You can only use water-based paint on our Shed, however, and you will need to ensure the Shed is as dry as possible before painting. We do recommend applying UV protection to the Shed prior to painting also.
Delivery fees may vary depending on your order and location. To check the delivery fee for your purchase, simply proceed to the checkout where it will be calculated for you.
